We supported multiple clients in conducting gap analyses of their sustainability reporting against the requirements of the Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for SMEs (VSME).
The work involved reviewing existing sustainability reports and disclosures, assessing alignment with both basic and comprehensive VSME requirements, and identifying gaps in relation to structure, content, and data availability.
Based on the analysis, we provided clear and actionable recommendations on how to strengthen reporting, including prioritisation of key disclosures, improvements in data collection, and alignment with emerging best practices. The approach enabled companies to understand their current maturity level and define a realistic roadmap towards more structured and compliant sustainability reporting.
